We finally moved in

We finally moved into our new house last weekend. It was pretty hectic and stressful, mostly because the old owners were taking their sweet time getting out and I wanted to get in when they said I would be able to. I have been trying to get unpacked the last few days and my house is starting to look a little better.
A couple of not so good things about moving:
Number 1 a mouse. No one warned me that mice get into your stuff when it is in storage, but they do. A few of my baby blankets got chewed up and a couple of old chair were damaged (I don't really know how badly because I just stuck them in the garage and haven't gotten that far in unpacking yet.) But the worst part about the mice is the live one that ran out of a box when I was unpacking it. Of course, I totally freaked out and ran out of the room screaming. I sent Cory in to kill it but he couldn't find it, so I immediately ran to the store and bought 12 mouse traps which we set mostly in the one room. Cory checked the traps the next morning and we caught it. Yeah! Hopefully, that is the only one in my stuff.
Number 2 we had to make some unexpected purchases. The water heater doesn't work very well, our dryer broke, and the dishwasher isn't draining. So two days after moving in we went and bought three new appliances that we weren't expecting to have to buy. As long as nothing else goes wrong we should be fine.
Overall I love, love, love my new house. It has been so fun getting all my stuff back out and organizing everything. If anyone wants a tour your are welcome to come over and see it :) We don't have internet yet and probably won't for a little while so it may be a while before I post any new stuff.

He took a sippy!!

I have been ready to ween Gabe for a month or two now. Unfortunately, he has not been ready. So last week I decided that I was no longer going to nurse him during the day. I have been pumping and trying to give him breast milk in a sippy cup. So for the last four days he has not been taking it. He just screams and crys every time I try to give him the sippy because he just wants to nurse. This morning I had to work for an hour and when I came home my mom said that he had finally taken the sippy. So I just put him down for a nap and although he wasn't very happy about the sippy he did take it and drank about two ounces. YEAH!! Hopefully eventually I will be able to substitute formula for the breast milk and then I can stop pumping, but for now I will just be happy for that little bit of progress.

Sad News

Cory's Grandpa Price passed away on Saturday evening. He has been sick for a while now, so it wasn't a surpise, but still very sad for Cory's family. We are going down to Malad for the viewing and funeral Wednesday and Thursday.

Happy Birthday to Me

I am 24. Yeah. I had a fun birthday. Karlee and Justin came up on Sunday and brought a cake and so I opened my presents on Sunday, but Cory did take me out to dinner tonight. For my birthday everyone in my family went together and go me a Wii and Wii fit. I love it!!!! It has been lots of fun and I plan to use the Wii fit to get in a little better shape.

Our family vacation

A couple of days after Christmas we went on family vacation. It has been a couple of years since we went on a family vacation with just our little family and we had a blast. We went down to St. George. We stayed in a timeshare resort down there. It had two bedrooms, a family/dining room, and a full kitchen. It was very nice. While we were down there we went to a dinosaur museum, a wildlife museum, Zion's national park, Brigham Young's winter house, and the visitor's center at the temple. We also went swimming everyday at the outdoor pool at the resort and played on the playground. It was very relaxing and we were glad to get away from everyday life for a few days.

Brinley and Cory built a snowman at
Grandma T's on the way down.

Here we are at Zion's National Park

This is outside our hotel, and in front of the temple

We bought a house!

I can't believe it has taken me this long to sit down and tell everyone some very exciting news. We bought a house! We close next friday, but we might have to wait a couple of weeks after that to move in. So at the latest we will be in our home by the 10th of February, at the earliest the end of the month. YEAH! Here is a picture of the outside.
